I decided to interpret this card through how I told my story. I knew that I wanted to create something that had multiple interpretations, but I knew this would lead to me writing a lot more than I should. But I ended up deciding that it was the most rewarding and etertaining for me to do that, so I figured the best way to tell this story would be by doing a multiple endings route, that way I didn't have to cut anything out and I could do it all. So I didn't destroy anything and I did the most important thing to me which was being creative with my approach.
I decided to interpret this card through how I organized everything. Normally I am very organized with my work, but for this assignment I went all over the place. Which feels dirty to me. The chaos of how I layed my files out and wrote my story was very overwhelming at times, but I think living in that chaos ultimately was a fun challenge that pushed me to be more creative.
For this prompt I decided to use it at the very beginning of my project. I made a list of a bunch of different potential ideas I had for my story with no particular order in mind when creating it. Then I randomly picked one of the ideas, which ended up being a apocolyptic psychological setting. I kept all the ideas very vague so I could really push myself in terms of storytelling. I then spent a while brainstorming how I could tell a story which a theme like that until I eventually came up with my idea.
This prompt was hard for me. I didn't know how to interpret or use it, eventually I decided to use it towards my story itself. I had this vision of making a place that doesn't really offer much other than the own viewer to think towards themself. Sort of a wasteland of a 'physical' space. Which is why a lot of the options in my game are seem to lead to nothing, thats because I wanted people to reflect on how they think of themselves through picking between the options.
This one goes back to my story, I am really inspired by stories of navigating the subconcious as well as stream of conscious writing. So when I decided on how I wanted my story to go my automatic idea was to tell it through a sort of first person stream of consciousness writing style. I decided to almost negate this prompt, but not really. I think making the change from having it be first person was really challenging and fun, but to me the way in which I wrote this story was very much stream of consciousness for me. So I did what I am most accostumed to, but put a spin on it because of this prompt.
