YOU FOLLOW THE DEER

You follow the deer through the clearing, it passes through a canopy of trees and reveals a fallen wooded tree, upon it are strange looking foods and drinks. You don’t know what they are, but the excitement of the experience draws you to eat them. It's delicious. As you indulge you feel a haze take over you. How long have you been here? The sky shows no time passing, but you can see subtle changes in your body that feel as if its been ages. Why were you here again? Was there more you wanted than experience? Did you have a goal? Did you even care about that goal anymore?

The deer approaches you once more, it nudges a small dazzling stone towards you. Its beautiful. You take the stone. The deer nudges you once more, you follow the deer out of the clearing, it walks so fast. You can’t keep up. You find yourself running until you realize you are once again on that sandy path. You are okay.

You follow the path, it twists and turns and you get lost. No panic comes with this. Its okay. You feel tired, but happy. You follow the path for ages, not noticing when you finally lay down again in the sand. As you lie in the sand you remember the stone, grabbing it from your pocket, you can see yourself. You have changed. You have experienced. This is your end.
